Adipurush teaser which was released few days ago, is facing massive backlash on social media ever since its release. While some are complaining about the poor VFX, others claim that the film is ‘misrepresenting’ Lord Ram and Ravana. The hashtag #BoycottAdipurush is trending on Twitter. Amid this, Prabhas jetted off to Delhi on 5th October on the occasion of Dussehra to perform the Ravana dahan at the world’s largest Ramlila. The event – Ravana Dahan is organised annually at the Red Fort grounds. The social media is flooded with videos and photos of the same. Ahead of Ravan Dahan ritual, Baahubali star Prabhas performed a special Aarti.
Yesterday around 7pm, Prabhas took the bow and arrow and fired the ceremonial shot to mark the beginning of Ravana dahan in Delhi. The sources say that Delhi Police personnel, three units of paramilitary forces and 140 bouncers were stationed at this event for the purpose of the security and crowd management.
Adipurush is helmed by Om Raut and it also has Kriti Sanon, Saif Ali Khan and Sunny Singh. UV Creations has acquired the rights of its Telugu version for Rs 100 crore.
