The Cinematographer C Prem Kumar turned director with Tamil film 96  in which  Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha Krishna played the lead roles. The film, which is a love story, turned out to be one of the best grossers in Tamil Film Industry in 2018. Later the Telugu producer Dil Raju purchased the remake rights of the Tamil film and roped Samantha Akkineni and Sharwanand to play the lead roles. The upcoming film of 96 remake has been titled Jaanu. Few days ago the makers released the teaser of Jaanu, which received decent response by the movie lovers. Today the makers of Jaanu released the first single Pranam from Samantha and Sharwanand starrer. The music for the film Jaanu is been composed by Govind Vasantha.

Pranam is a melodious  song which has heart touching lyrics. The song comes at an instance that Sharwanand and Samantha Akkineni remind about their past memories.  Jaanu’ song Pranam is crooned by Chinmayi sripada and Gowtham Bharadwaj V whereas the lyrics are penned by Shree Mani.

The film Jaanu  is slated to hit the theaters on 7th February.  Samantha and Sharwanand starrer is bankrolled by Dil Raju under his production house Sri Venkateswara Creations.

Sharwanand is reprising Vijay Sethupathi’ role  whereas Samantah is essaying Trisha’ role in Jaanu. Govind Vasantha’ music is the soul of Jaanu . Shot in Visakhapatnam, Hyderabad, Maldives and Kenya, the film Jaanu is currently in post production stage.
