State Finance Minister Buggana Rajendranath Reddy presented the Interim Budget 2024-25 in the Andhra Pradesh State Assembly on Wednesday. Finance Minister Buggana Rajendranath Reddy mentioned famous quotations in his speech. He introduced his budget with quotations from Mahatma Gandhi. He mentioned Mahatma Gandhi’s quotation that the best way to know yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.
Buggana Rajendranath stated that the Jagan government is supporting the welfare of BCs in Andhra Pradesh.
Buggana Rajendranath said that 56 new corporations have been formed in the state for the welfare of BCs. He explained that his government has provided 30.65 lakh house titles to the homeless poor in five years. 2.53 lakh cr of cash has been transferred. It is stated that the amount of YSR pension has been increased to Rs.3 thousand and it is being given to 66.35 lakh people in the state. He explained that 84,731 cr were spent. He said that with the decisions taken by his government and the development programs undertaken, the state is at the ninth position in terms of per capita income.
Minister Buggana said that ration goods are being sent to the beneficiaries’ homes and 9,260 vehicles have been provided for this purpose. Rs 650 crores have been spent and Rs.350 cr have been distributed for Kalyanamastu and Shaadi Tofa schemes. Minister Buggana Rajendranath stated in the Assembly that 883.5 crores have been spent.
