Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday morning in the Parliament premises. Recently Telugu Desam Party chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu met BJP top leaders, and the meeting became politically important. YSRCP sources say that CM Jagan will discuss with the Prime Minister about the funds due to the state and pending dues.
They will discuss the funds due to the state for construction of Polavaram project, special status to Andhra Pradesh, suspension of privatization of Visakha steel plant, release of electricity dues due from Telangana government to Andhra Pradesh state, share of taxes due from the center to Andhra Pradesh state.
Two days ago, TDP chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu met with top BJP leaders. Chandrababu had a meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP National President JP Nadda. Elections to the Andhra Pradesh State Assembly are likely to be held in the month of April this year. In this election, there is a possibility of BJP joining forces with the TDP and Jana Sena alliance. Chandrababu had a meeting with top leaders of BJP two days ago to give impetus to this campaign.
After the meeting with the Prime Minister, CM Jagan Mohan Reddy will also meet Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.
