
Andhra Pradesh Chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is all set to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the national capital on Wednesday. This will be Jagan’ second meeting with PM in a span of fortnight. It was on 17th March that Jagan Mohan Reddy had a meeting with the Modi and Union home minister Amit Shah. Though the officials said that Jagan Reddy had renewed his demand for the special category status and Polavaram project funds during the last visit. On the otherside Jagan had met governor Justice S Abdul Nazeer on Tuesday.
On the otherside, it is known that massive violence broke out in Amalapuram after Konaseema district was named after Ambedkar. The thugs also set fire to the houses of YCP MLAs Vishwarup and Ponnada Satish. Stone pelting and burning of buses also took place. Due to this, cases were registered against many people.
In this order, the state government has recently taken a key decision regarding these cases. The Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy took the decision to drop the cases against the accused. The CMO officials were directed to issue orders in this regard.
The Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy said that this decision was taken with the idea that everyone should forget the incident that happened in Amalapuram and come together.
