The chief minister of Andhra Pradesh YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has announced that the government of Andhra Pradesh had decided to introduce a fresh scheme named Family Doctor from the 15th of August. The scheme allows people to contact the doctor directly, who is working in the nearest Primary Health Centre.

The Primary Health Centres in the state would be digitalised and details of every patient would be uploaded into a portal. The details about the patient’s condition, blood group, emergency contact, previous treatment, medicines being used by the patient and other details will be uploaded in the portal.

He also told them to begin implementing the new Arogyasri programme from August 1st. He further ordered them to boost Covid vaccine administrations, particularly to the people aged above 60.
