There is tension in Tadipatri of Anantapur district. Former TDP MLA and Tadipatri Municipal Chairman JC Prabhakar Reddy was arrested by the police. Around 100 policemen were deployed at his house. Barricades were set up around the house.
If we go into the details, JC Prabhakar Reddy has been accusing for some time that sand and soil are being illegally transported in the Penna river at Peddappur. He has recently announced that they will stop the illegal mining of sand and soil from Monday and burn the vehicles transporting them.
In this order, JC Prabhakar Reddy came out of his house to go to Peddappur today. When he came out, the police tried to forcefully take him inside the house. In this order he fell on the ground. After that, he protested against the behavior of the police by sitting on a chair in front of his house. JC called TDP leaders to hold a dharna at Peddappur police station. On the other hand, the police officials responded that JC had made statements to disturb peace and order and that’s why they stopped him.
The cops are also not allowing the media to visit JC Prabhakar Reddy’ residence and cordoned heavily at JC’s residence to prevent him from leaving the house.
