Shahid Kapoor who is best known for playing the lead role in Sandeep Reddy vanga’ magnum opus Kabir Singh, the remake of Arjun Reddy, is currently working for another Hindi film Jersey, which is also a remake of Telugu blockbuster drama of same title starring Nani. Today the makers of Jersey announced that the trailer of Shahid Kapoor starrer will be out on Monday at 1 pm and the movie will be released on 14th April 2022.
Telugu sport based drama Jersey, which released in 2019, starred Nani and U Turn fame Shraddha Srinath in the lead roles. The film revolved around Arjun, a failed cricketer who decides to fulfill his dream of representing Team India for his son. The sports based drama, helmed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, won awards in the Best Telugu Film and Best Editing categories at the 67th National Film Awards.
