Former Minister Jupally Krishna Rao has joined the Congress Party. In Delhi, the party’s national president Mallikarjuna Kharge invited Jupalli Krishna Rao with a party scarf. Along with Jupalli, former MLA Gurunad Reddy, MLC Kuchakulla Damodar Reddy’s son Rajeshwar Reddy, Vanaparthi, Peddamandadi MP Megha Reddy, Kitchareddy and some other leaders are among the leaders who have joined the Congress party. Telangana party affairs in-charge Manik Rao Thackeray, KC Venugopal, TPCC chief Revanth Reddy, MP Uttam Kumar Reddy, AICC secretaries Sampath, Vamsichander Reddy, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy and others were present in the programme.
Jupally Krishna Rao’ joining Congress has been postponed for some time. Jupally and his relatives were supposed to join the Congress party on the occasion of the joining of former Khammam MP Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy early last month. But, Jupalli Krishna Rao thought to join the Congress party in the presence of Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi in Kolhapur constituency. In this order, the assembly was finalized in Kolhapur on 30th of the month. Priyanka Gandhi was supposed to participate in this meeting. But, the meeting was postponed due to heavy rains in the state. Due to this, as the joining of the party was delayed, Jupallyand others went to Delhi on the instructions of the state party leaders and in the presence of Kharge, Jupally and others visited the Congress party on Thursday.
In fact, Jupally and his followers have to wear the scarf of the Congress party on Wednesday itself. For this, they reached Delhi on Tuesday. AICC President Mallikharjun Kharge was unable to attend due to his busy schedule. All of them joined the Congress party on Thursday morning.
