Convert BRS back to TRS
TRS is a party that emerged to fulfill the aspirations of the people of Telangana. Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) changed to BRS- Bharat Rashtra Samithi thinking of going into national politics and BRS which lost the existence of Telangana is going to become TRS again? Does the party that went to the polls under the name of BRS want to get closer to the people by going back to its old name? Looking at the comments of the party’s senior leader Kadiam Srihari, it seems yes.
The former minister Kadiyam Srihari expressed the opinion in front of BRS working president KTR. Kadiyam Srihari said that the people of Telangana considered TRS as their party but removing Telangana from the name of the party has affected the sentiment of the people. He said that people used to have attachments with TRS. After it became BRS, that sentiment and attachment is gone. So Kadiyam Srihari asked KTR to reconsider the matter of converting BRS back into TRS keeping in mind the opinions of people, leaders, and activists.
Kadiyam Srihari stated that the activists believe that the removal of Telangana in the name of the party has damaged the last election, because of this, at least 1-2 percent of the votes have been lost. Kadiyam Srihari said that it is not only the party leaders and workers but the majority of the people who think that BRS should be changed back to TRS.
