Tamil star actor Karthi is going to appear in dual roles as a father and a son in his upcoming action entertainer Sardar, which is up for its theatrical release on October 21, 2022. The film is directed by PS Mithran. Recently, he had interacted with the media and spilled the beans about the movie.
When he was asked how Sardar took shape, he said, “During the dubbing of my first film Abhimanyudu, I got the idea of Sardar. I discussed the idea with one of my troupe members and developed it. Later, I had also narrated the film’s plot to the producer Laxman and he suggested me to allot Karthi as the lead. Fortunately, Karthi has also accepted my proposal and signed the project.”
Mithran said the story is set in the 1980s and in the present day. In 1980, Indian intelligence looked for a soldier to make him a spy. But it wasn’t an easy thing to do. It’s an obligation for a spy to know how to act and disguise. Hence a stage actor was turned into a spy. The plot of the film was written according to this real incident.
He said that Sardar is blended with all aspects like action, comedy, love, emotion, etc and basically it is a social concept. It can surely grab the attention of all sections of the audience. He further said that he was happy for his favourite production house Annapurna Studios, which is presenting Sardar film. He also expressed his interest to work with Akhil, who is one of the Akkineni heroes. So, let’s hope Mithran fulfills his dreams in the near future.
