Kartikeya Gummakonda, who made his acting debut with RX 100, is currently busy in his upcoming bilingual Tamil-Telugu movie Hippi. Now according to the latest update, the young and talented actor Kartikeya has signed another upcoming film. The sources say that Kartikeya has been roped in an upcoming film, which will be helmed by director Arjun Jandhyala.
Earlier Arjun Jandhyala has worked with Boyapati Srinu and now he is going to make his directorial debut with Kartikeya. The upcoming film will be launched on 27th December 2018. Who will play the lead role, is not yet decided. Arjun Jandhyala is planning to showcase Kartikeya’s full mass avatar.
The sources say that Kartikeya is very impressed with the narration and his character, so he has given nod to Arjun Jandhyala. Very Soon the official announcement will be made regarding it. The upcoming film will be jointly produced by Anil Kumar and Tirumala Reddy.
Currently Kartikeya is busy in the shoot of his upcoming movie Hippi, which is being shot in Chennai. During the launch event of Hippi, Kartikeya said, ”When I was confused about selecting a good script for my next, director TN Krishna came up with Hippi. I am confident that the movie will lead me to success again.”
Kartikeya starrer Hippi is directed by TN Krishna of Nuvvu Nenu Prema fame, the movie also stars JD Chakravarthy, Brahmaji and Digangana Suryavanshi. It is being bankrolled by Kalaippuli S Thanu under the banner of V Creations. The producer recently backed films like Kabali and Sketch. Nivas K Prasanna is scoring the music, DoP RD Rajasekar is cranking the camera.
Kartikeya’s debut film RX100 was a bold drama, which was directed by Ajay Bhupthi. Payal Rajput played the female lead in this film. It is being remade with Aadhi Pinisetty in Tamil.
