Kathi Mahesh, the Dalit rights activist and film critic has made announcement that he is going to contest as MP in 2019 general elections. As he hails from Valmikipuram Mandal of Chittoor district and is likely to contest from his birth place. On Sunday, during the press meet, Kathi Mahesh said Dalits required political power to get their share of development in the country. He claimed that he is touch with all political parties in Andhra Pradesh.
Once again Kathi Mahesh made comment on Jana Sena Chief Pawan Kalyan. He said that Pawan Kalyan should show proof for his claims that he had a threat to his life. He also responded on Pranay’s murder and said Maruthi Rao joined with terrorists to kill Pranay.
Kathi Mahesh also said that the voice of the Dalits would be crucial in 2019 elections . The controversial film critics is yet to disclose which party he would join.
Apart from this, Kathi Mahesh is also planning to do a political based film and currently busy in the script work.
In the month of July this year, Kathi Mahesh was externed from Hyderabad city for 6 months because of making objectionable comments on Lord Rama and Sita.
