CM KCR reviewed the agricultural development activities implemented by the state government. The officers were given directions on various issues like increase in yield of paddy.

CM KCR has said that 3 crore tonnes of grain has already been harvested through agricultural development activities. He conducted a review at Pragati Bhavan on Friday and said that Telangana state has reached the number one level in the country. He opined that with the Palamuru Rangareddy lifting projects, including the Gauravelli, Malkapeta, Baswapur and other projects that have been made available, there is a possibility that the yield of paddy in the state will increase to another crore tonnes and reach 4 crore tonnes. In such circumstances, it has been decided to establish food processing companies as part of the state’s agricultural policy, he said. As part of this, he reiterated that more advanced rice mills will be made available in addition to the ongoing mills in the state to increase the milling capacity and further develop the state’s agriculture.

KCR also said: From providing investment to the crop to buying grain at affordable prices, we are continuing the welfare of farmers and developing agriculture in a way that no other state in the country has done. Telangana is green. The crop yield has increased tremendously.  Farmer families are happy.
