The people of India know that Gautam Adani is close to the prime minister Narendra Modi. Few days ago, Hindenburg Research, an American short seller with bets against the Adani’s companies, accused him of pulling off “the largest con in corporate history.” Adani’s firms have lost $110 billion. Telangana chief minister KCR attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said that while he won in parliamentary elections of 2014, the country lost. CM KCR said that while ex-Prime Minister Manmohan Singh worked hard and spoke less, it’s the opposite case with the current Prime Minister.
BRS President and Telangana CM addressed his first rally outside of Telangana in Nanded, Maharashtra on Sunday and spoke about his party’s plans for a farmers’ government and criticized Narendra Modi government and Congress-BJP alliance.
KCR said, “Prime Minister, while he made a chest-thumping speech in the Parliament, avoided answering questions on Adani issue and bulldozed opposition from raising questions. The manner in which Bharitya Janata Party- BJP leaders are praising the PM will lead to the point of Modi becoming ex-PM.”
Regarding the Adani issue, KCR maintained that the LIC had made substantial investments in struggling company and that ever since scam broke out, “billions of wealth of investors and shareholders had evaporated”. He questioned, “India wanted to know what Centre will do regarding the Adani situation because crores of people have invested in LIC and are worried about their future. PM Narendra Modi remained silent in Parliament, and did not utter a single word on this issue.”
KCR claimed that nearly 20 lakh Indians had given up their Indian citizenship and migrated to other countries in search of livelihood under Modi’s rule in the last 9 years.
