It is known that the Congress party won the Telangana assembly election. Congress has won 32 seats and is leading in 32 seats. BRS has won 15 seats and is leading in 24 seats. CM KCR’s hopes of achieving a hat-trick victory and forming the government once again remained a dream. BJP has won 4 seats and is leading in 4 and AIMIM has won 2 seats and is leading in 5. CM KCR has resigned from his post in view of the formation of the Congress government.
KCR submitted his resignation to the state’s Governor Tamilisai Soundarajan through his Officer on Special Duty (OSD), December 3. This comes hours after the Congress party took a decisive lead in the state’s Assembly elections which were held on 30th November.
However, there is a possibility that Governor Tamilisai will ask KCR to continue as caretaker Chief Minister till the new government is formed. However, it remains to be seen whether KCR will agree or not.
A delegation of Congress representatives is likely to meet the Governor tomorrow. They will submit the list of candidates who won the election to the governor. They will tell the governor that they have enough strength to form the government. On the other hand, Karnataka Deputy CM Shiva Kumar is going to meet the winning Congress candidates tonight.
