KCR’ Telangana government has decided to provide financial assistance to backward castes and artisans. For eligible Rs 1 Lakh financial assistance is going to be provided. The application process for this has started from yesterday. The application process will continue till 20th of this month. The state government launched this scheme as part of the Telangana decade celebrations. Minister Gangula said that these funds will be used for the purchase of professional tools and raw materials for the beneficiaries.
Guidelines for those who wish to benefit from this scheme:
· Beneficiaries should be BC caste artisans and artisans.
· Age should be between 18 to 55 years as on 2nd June.
· Annual income in urban areas is Rs 2 lakhs.
· Funds are provided only for purchase of tools and raw material.
· The scheme is applicable to only one person in the family.
· Should not have received financial assistance from any government department in the last 5 years.
· In 2017-18 Rs 50 thousand financial aid recipients are also ineligible.
· Apply on the website.
· Income proof, Aadhaar card, bank pass book, ration card, caste proof, passport size photograph should be submitted.
· MPDOs at Mandal level and Municipal Commissioners in Municipalities visit the field level and examine the details of the applicants.
· Selected beneficiaries will be announced online.
· Funds will be deposited directly into the bank account of the nominee. Tools and raw materials have to be purchased within the month of financing.
