Following MP Kesineni Nani’s resignation from TDP, his daughter Shweta will also leave TDP. To this extent, MP Nani announced on his Facebook account that he will leave the Party. It has been revealed that he will resign from the post of Municipal Corporator of Vijayawada. After resigning from the post of corporator, he will also resign from the primary membership of the party.
Chandrababu Naidu has sent a message to Keshineni Nani not to interfere in the affairs of the party after the clash between Keshineni Nani and the small factions in Tiruvuru last week.
Keshineni Nani said three days ago that Chandrababu Naidu had sent word that he would give a chance to other candidates in the upcoming elections as Vijayawada MP candidate. He announced that he would soon go to Delhi and meet the Speaker of the Lok Sabha and resign from his membership in the Lok Sabha and the same day he would resign from the TDP.
MP Nani’s daughter Shweta contested as a candidate for Mayor of Vijayawada in the 2020 corporation elections. As the YCP got majority in the elections, the corporation came under the control of that party. Although she was elected as a corporator from the 11th division in that election, there is no record of her attending the council even once in three and a half years.
