The 68th Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards 2022 was held  at Taj Lands End, Mumbai. Just like every year, the grand event of DPIFF Awards  was attended by a number of Bollywood and TV celebrities who were honored for their contribution to Indian Cinema. Kiara Advani bagged the ‘Critics Best Actor and Best Actress’ awards for her  performance in the biographical war  drama  Shershaah.  On the otherside, Vishnu Varadhan directorial venture received  ‘Best Film’ award.

The movie Shershaah is all  about  the story of a PVC awardee brave Indian soldier- Capt. Vikram Batra, who shot to fame and became a household name during the Kargil War  of  the year 1999. His bravery and courage have continued to inspire India for the last 22 years.

Sidharth Malhotra  who played the lead role in this film, won the Critics Best Actor for his performance as Vikram Batra.  Kabir Singh fame actress  Kiara Advani won the Critics Best Actress award for her performance as Vikram Batra’s love interest, named Dimple Cheema.

On the otherside, Kiara Advani who made  her debut in Telugu film Industry with the movie  Bharat Ane Nenu starring Superstar Mahesh Babu, is currently sharing the screen space with  Mega Power Star Ram Charan in RC15, which is being helmed by  Shankar.
