BJP leader and Union Minister Kishan Reddy said that his party will soon lift the suspension of Goshamahal MLA Raja Singh. He said that the process of withdrawing the suspension against him is being discussed.

Ultimately, the party will take the final decision, he said. He added that he would also participate in the meeting to withdraw the suspension and would think about this matter in all ways and would reveal their decision to the high command.
In August last year, Raja Singh was suspended from the party following allegations that he had made inappropriate comments against the Prophet Muhammad. He had insulted the Prophet in a video released in response to stand-up comic Munawar Faruqui’s show in Hyderabad. An FIR was lodged against him after massive protests erupted at several locations in Hyderabad, demanding action against him. He had also said: There is a 100-crore Hindu population in India and despite such a majority, India is not being declared as an Akhand Hindu Rashtra. Every part that split from India became an Islamic nation. In connection with Prophet case, he was arrested under the PD Act and the court granted conditional bail to him.
