Tamil actress Rekha has made a shocking revelation about the “unplanned kiss” by versatile actor Kamal Haasan in filmmaker K. Balachander’s film “Punnagai Mannan”, which was released in 1986, has raised a storm on the social media. The netizens are saying that Kamal Haasan should apologize to the actress Rekha for the kiss which was filmed on her without her consent.
K Balachander directorial venture Punnagai Mannan had Rekha and Kamal Haasan, two lovers separated by the society, steal a kiss before jumping off a waterfall. But Rekha has said several times that she wasn’t even aware that a kiss of this sort was in the script of Punnagai Mannan.
Tamil beauty Rekha said, ” The makers shot the kissing scene without me knowing about it. People ask me the same question and I am fed up with answering it.”
Punnagai Mannan’ Rekha added, “Suresh Krishna and Vasanth were associate directors and when I told them that they did not inform me about the kiss, to which they told me to think of it as big king kissing a small child.”
On the other side, Rekha also believes that the consent-less kiss with Kamal Haasan was important for the film.
Now, a video is making rounds on social media, in which Rekha is seen opening up that neither K Balachander, not Kamal Haasan took her permission to shoot the Kissing scene.
