Krish is currently busy in the shoot of his next upcoming directorial venture NTR biopic, which has been titled as Kathanayakudu, in which Nandamuri Balakrishna is playing the titular role. According to the latest update, currently Krish is canning the scenes showcasing the 1977 Diviseema floods that killed over 14,204 people and devastated the entire coastal region. The worst affected areas were in the Krishna River delta region. The island of Diviseema, which was hit by a six metre high storm surge, experienced a loss of life running into the thousands. Hundreds of the bodies were found floating in the waters and bodies bloated beyond recognition were consigned to mass pyres. The makers of NTR biopicare confident that Diviseema flood scenes, will be one of the major highlight.
It is known news that Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR) and ANR together took to streets and collected over Rs 13 lakhs to rehabilitate the Diviseema flood victims.
On the occasion of Independence day, the makers of NTR biopic, released the first look poster of Balakrishna on social media, which received thumbing response. The poster featured Balakrishna, as his father and actor-politician Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao. He was seen in a saffron kurta. Meanwhile, Bollywood actress Vidya Balan is playing the role of NTR’s onscreen wife Basavatarakam. Baahubali star Rana Daggubati, is playing the role of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. The biopic is jointly produced by Balakrishna, Vishnu Vardhan Induri and Sai Korrapati.
In terms of politics, NTR, founded the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in 1982 and he served as the Chief Minister (CM) of Andhra Pradesh for seven years (between 1983 and 1995). NTR featured in over 250 movies and he had won 3 National Awards as an actor as well as a producer for Thodu Dongalu, Seetharama Kalyanam and Varakatnam. NTR biopic- Kathanayakudu will be released on 9th January 2019.
