BRS Working President, Minister KTR asked the Center to exclude 4 coal mines in Telangana from auction. KTR questioned why the rules are different for Tamil Nadu and Telangana.
KTR tweeted on Saturday that 4 coal mines in Telangana should be excluded from the auction. He asked the Center to allocate the said coal mines to Singareni Corporation instead of privatizing them. He recalled the exclusion of three lignite mines in Tamil Nadu from auction and demanded that the same should be applied to Singareni.
KTR questioned why the rules are different for Tamil Nadu and Telangana. The minister also added an article written by an English news agency to his tweet.
KTR tweeted: This is exactly what we have been demanding & protested even today for Singareni Collieries That 4 Coal mines of Telangana be removed from auction list & allocated Directly to SCCL Why different rules for different states in the same country? #Singareni
It is known that the Center has already made it clear that not only the government but also private companies should acquire the coal mines through tenders. It is known that on March 29, the Center issued a notification for auctioning 101 coal mines in various states across the country, including Telangana. On the other hand, it is known that the BRS party organized state-wide protests on Saturday against the privatization of Singareni coal mines.
