Veteran singer Lata Mangeshkar, who has been admitted in the ICU of a Mumbai hospital since last month, is critical. The Breach Candy Hospital released a statement that read, “health condition has deteriorated again.” Lata Mangeshkar is currently under observation and on the ventilator.
The popular 92 Years old singer was hospitalized on 9th January after testing COVID positive. Her family had confirmed to the media that her symptoms were mild. Later on 30th January, Maharashtra NCP leader Rajesh Tope had stated that Lata Mangeshkar was recovering well and was no longer on the ventilator. She was being administered oxygen and was responding to the treatment.
Rajesh Tope had said, “I spoke with Dr Pratit Samdani who is treating Lata Mangeshkar. She is recovering, was on a ventilator for some days, but is better now. She is no more on ventilator. Only oxygen is being given to tehsinger. She is responding to the treatment.”
Her family is sharing the tweet updates on her health regularly. The family members also warn against spreading rumors about her condition.
Lata Mangeshkar is a recipient of India’s highest civilian honour Bharat Ratna. The singer has also been honoured with the Padma Bhushan, the Dadasaheb Phalke Award, the Padma Vibhushan, and multiple National Film Awards.
