Liger Box office collections: The Young sensation Vijay Deverakonda starrer witnessed a good opening. It raked in Rs 33 crore on its first day. But the collections were majorly from the Southern states. Helmed by Puri Jagannadh, the sport based drama  opened in theatres on Thursday 25th August amid mixed to negative reviews by audience and critics.  Though the movie has good opening but the collections rate of the film is decreasing at the box office. New Zealand is the only country where the film collections are showing an upwards trend. Seems like the Hindi audiences here are connected to the film.

The movie Liger is a wash out in Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka, while it’s expected to be out of most cinema halls in Telugu states by Monday.

On Friday morning, there was a record number of show cancellations for Liger. It’s a 77 percent drop in collections for the film in South Indian states vis-à-vis the opening day.

  Vijay Deverakonda is playing the  titular MMA fighter boxer. It also stars Ronit Roy, Ramya Krishnan, and Makarand Deshpande in prominent roles. American boxing legend Mike Tyson is also seen making a cameo in Liger.
