Vijay starrer action drama Master is one of the much hyped movie of South Indian film Industry and it is carrying a crazy buzz. The makers of Master have sold the theatrical and other rights, 3 months before its release date. It is an achievement by itself as the producers do not sell the rights of the key regions till the movie enters post-production stages. Master has done a terrific pre release business of close to Rs 200 Crs.
Vijay valued the theatrical rights of the entire Tamil Nadu to be Rs 68 Crs and asked producer Xavier Britto not to sell the rights above the said amount. His suggestions were implemented by co producers Lalitha Kumar and Jagadish.

Andhra Pradesh and Telangana : Rs 9 Cr

Satellite Rights (Tamil and Telugu): Rs 32 Cr
Digital Rights: Rs 20 Cr
North India, Hindi and satellite/digital rights: Rs 23 Cr
Total Pre Release business of Master : Rs 200.92 Cr
The film Master also has Andrea Jeremiah, Vijay Sethupathi, Malavika Mohanan, Arjun Das, Shanthanu Bhagyaraj and Gouri Kishan. The film is helmed by Kaithi helmer Lokesh Kanagaraj, and it will hit the theaters on 13th January.
