Mayawati comments on KCR : 125 feet statue of Ambedkar just for votes

BSP chief Mayawati said that Telangana CM KCR copied the schemes implemented by BSP in Uttar Pradesh. Under the auspices of BSP, Telangana Bharosa Sabha was held at Sarur Nagar Stadium in Hyderabad on Sunday. Mayawati, who participated as the chief guest in this meeting, satirized the Telangana government. RS Praveen Kumar has been announced as the CM candidate in Telangana on behalf of BSP. She said that RS Praveen Kumar has resigned from the IPS job and is fighting on public issues.

Mayawati said that even though Ambedkar made reservations for SCs and STs, they are still not fully there for those communities. Ambedkar thought that more laws should be made for SC, ST and OBCs. They want to follow the path shown by Jyotiba Poole, Ambedkar and Narayanaguru. Mayawati said that she dedicated her life only for the poor and weaker sections. She said that BSP works for the welfare of the communities. Many welfare schemes have been implemented for the advancement of SC, ST and Badugu weaker sections in Uttar Pradesh and brought light to their lives. Mayawati criticized CM KCR for saying he would give 3 acres of land to Dalits in Telangana. She directed the party ranks to make BSP a foothold in Telangana in the next election.

She  said BSP was the first party to express support in Parliament for a separate state of Telangana.

She said that KCR copied BSP schemes. She said that KCR has limited the welfare schemes needed by the people to paper only. Mayawati alleged that BR Ambedkar’s name for Telangana’s new secretariat was for political gain. She said that CM KCR is once again deceiving Dalits by putting up a 125 feet statue for votes. The Congress government had done injustice to the BCs. When Ambedkar asked for a commission for the reservation of BCs, the then Congress government did not agree. The Congress took time to give Bharat Ratna to Ambedkar.
