MLC Kavitha to skip CBI summons today

BRS leader K Kavitha, the daughter of BRS chief KCR, has asked the CBI to withdraw the notice issued to her under Section 41A of CrPC summoning her for questioning in connection with the Delhi liquor policy scam case. MLC Kavitha was asked to appear before the investigation team at CBI headquarters on Monday. Previously, she was only a witness in this case. However, the CBI has now issued new notices, treating  Kavitha as an accused. In response, KCR’s daughter wrote a letter to the CBI.

In her letter, Kavitha requested the withdrawal of the notices issued under CRPC Section 41A, arguing that they contradicted the earlier Section 160 notices.

She said in the letter: There is absolutely no logic, reason or background forthcoming as to how why and under what circumstances you have now resorted to Section 41A CrPC.

Kavitha mentioned, “I will be available for the inquiry via virtual methods if the CBI needs any clarifications.”

On the other hand, Kavitha met her father, BRS leader KCR regarding CBI notice. She visited the farmhouse to discuss this matter with her father KCR.
