In the Graduate MLC elections, TDP is displaying full dominance over the YCP. Telugu Desam Party candidates are leading in Andhra Pradesh graduate MLC elections. TDP candidate Kancharla Srikanth is leading in East Rayalaseema graduate seat. West Rayalaseema graduate candidate Bhumi Reddy Ramgopal Reddy is leading over YCP candidate. TDP candidate Vepada Chiranjeevi is the closest to winning the Uttarandhra graduate seat. Chiranjeevi’s victory was almost certain. TDP’s candidate Vepada Chiranjeevi Rao is leading with a majority of 18,231 votes after 4 rounds of counting over YCP’s Seethamraju Sudhakar.
In the East Rayalaseema Graduate MLC polls, Telugu Desam Party is showing the similar trend. After 4 rounds of counting, TDP candidate Kancharla Srikanth secured a lead of 13,888 votes. After 4th round, Kancharla received 65,439 votes whereas YCP candidate Shyam Prasad Reddy got 51,551 votes
On the other hand, party leader Chandrababu Naidu is constantly monitoring the counting process of the graduate MLC election contested by TDP. Chandrababu Naidu called the district officials and election officials on the implementation of rules and prevention of irregularities in the counting centers. TDP leader Chandrababu Naidu spoke to the state Chief Electoral Officer Mukesh Kumar Meena, Ananthapuram District Collector Nagalakshmi and SP Fakirappa.
Nandamuri Balakrishna believes that the results of the MLC elections are proof of the changing political situation in the state.
