Nara Lokesh: Raise voice against injustice done to backward communities

TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh on Saturday alleged that YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was the only CM in the country who reduced the reservation for BCs by 10%, forcing thousands of leaders to lose their posts in local bodies. On the second day of his Yuva Galam Padayatra in Kuppam assembly constituency, Nara Lokesh appealed to people of all sections to raise their voice against the cuts in reservation for the backward classes and the injustice done to the backward communities.

Nara Lokesh said Telugu Desam Party will soon form an empowerment committee for backward classes. He said, “Leaders of the ruling YSRC who talk about social justice are doing social injustice through their work. When locals reported that they were being subjected to various forms of harassment by YSRC leaders during an interaction, Nara  Lokesh said that many false cases, including murder, were filed against them. He said, ‘I am not afraid of such matters.’

Nara Lokesh asked what was Jagan Mohan  Reddy’ promise that farmers would be paid minimum support price for their agricultural produce. He said, “The agriculture minister, against whom a theft case is pending, has forgotten the farmers while running around to  the CBI.”

Nara Lokesh promised to revive all welfare schemes and construct a community hall when TDP came to power. Teja, who was seriously injured in a road accident and who received assistance of `16 lakh during the previous regime, met Lokesh. Teja said, “I am able to walk now only because of former  CM Chandrababu Naidu.”
