The Yuvagalam Yatra, started by Nara Lokesh has reached its 100th day. YCP leaders on one side and the police on the other are passing the obstacles created at every step. Lokesh started the journey to reach 4,000 thousand kilometers in 400 days.  The Yuvagalam Yatra, which started on January 27 this year, has so far covered 1,269 kilometers through 34 assembly constituencies.

The unexpected response of the people to the Yuvagalam Yatra is creating tremors in the ruling party. The march lasted for 45 days in the joint Chittoor district, 23 days in the joint Anantapur district, and 32 days in the joint Kurnool district. Lokesh has received 1900 petitions from people so far in this trip. The Telugu Desam Party has made a clean sweep in the graduation elections with the padayatra effect.

Lokesh took a break only three times in the padayatra that reached 100 days and that was under unavoidable circumstances. Tarakaratna’s death, MLC election code, Ugadi announced a short hiatus for the yatra. Despite the blisters on his feet and heavy rain, Lokesh never stopped walking because of his eagerness to reach the people in need.

Lokesh is on the spot helping the people who join him in the padayatra. Financial assistance is given to those who are affected in life and their families are supported.  Financial assistance was given to Ramulamma, a handloom woman in Dharmavaram, Rangamma, a Dalit woman farmer in Emmiganur, Munirajamma, a Rajaka woman in Srikalahasti, and Hameed Basha, an auto driver in Nagari.
