Popular short messaging app WhatsApp will soon make a new feature available to users. With this feature, users will benefit more in terms of their privacy. After installing the latest beta update, the users will be able to see the new option in community announcement group info named phone number privacy.
WhatsApp will soon make another new feature available to users called phone number privacy. This feature, which is currently in the testing phase, will soon be available to all iPhone and Android phone users. WhatsApp has not officially announced this yet. Currently, this new feature is available only to beta users who have the latest update of WhatsApp on iOS and Android phones.
This feature can only be used by WhatsApp community users. If the users in the WhatsApp community do not want their phone number to be known to others who are not familiar with them, they can enable this ‘phone number privacy’ feature in their WhatsApp settings. However, even if this feature is enabled, the community admin, as well as those who already have the contact saved on their phone, will see this phone number or the name saved with that number. The community admin cannot enable this feature. Community admin number is visible to all members of that community.
