Vijayawada NIA court ruled that there was no conspiracy in knife attack case against CM Jagan Mohan Reddy in 2018. The verdict was issued on Tuesday agreeing with the argument of the NIA in this case. . It said that there was no conspiracy in this attack. The court rejected the petition filed by the lawyer on behalf of the CM Jagan Mohan Reddy. The court adjourned the hearing to August 1 on another petition filed by the CM seeking exemption from personal appearance in this case and allowing him to appear through video conference. Apart from this, the court also postponed the bail petition of J Srinivasa Rao, who is an accused in this case, to August 1.

NIA had earlier told the court that there was no conspiracy behind the attack. However, on behalf of CM Jagan Mohan Reddy, the lawyer filed a petition on April 10. He said that the NIA did not properly investigate the attack case and asked for a thorough investigation. The NIA court judge heard arguments and counter arguments on these two petitions. Later, the judgment was given on Tuesday.
