Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has predicted that the Indian economy will be nearing double digit growth and will be listed as one of the fastest growing economies in the world. Further, the Finance minister predicted that next year economic growth would range from 7.5 to 8.5 percent and will continue till the coming decade.
Speaking to a conversation at Harvard Kennedy School Nirmala Sitharaman said the coming year India’s economic growth would definitely range near to 8 percent on the basis of the current year. She further added that their ministry of finance has not done any assessment in regards to the growth number whereas the World Bank, IMF and rating agencies have all reached the nearest proximity to the growth number of India.
On being asked about the state of the global economy, Sitharaman said, no one can have one picture of the entire globe. The emerging market economies are likely to recover swiftly and tend to have growth trajectory.
And in the released data and a week before, she feels that India’s growth this year will be the highest in the world and will continue to move upwards by making India as the fastest growing economies in the world.
