Yatra movie was brought as YSR biopic before 2019 elections. That movie was not only successful at the box office but also a plus for Jagan Mohan Reddy. The sequel film, which tells the story of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, the current Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, is slated to hit the theaters on February 8, 2024. Today the makers officially announced that the teaser of Yatra 2 will be unveiled on 5th January 2024 at 11 am.
‘Yatra 2’ is directed by Mahi V Raghav and jointly produced by Three Atom Leaves, V Celluloid and Shiva Meka. The film will be about Jagan before and after YSR’s death and how Jagan became the CM. Mammootty, who acted as YSR in the first part, is also playing the same role in this part. Tamil actor Jiiva is playing the role of Jagan Mohan Reddy.
While the movie ‘Yatra’ was released on February 8, 2019, now ‘Yatra 2’ will be released on the same date. Currently this movie is in the shooting stage.
Yatra 2 is the biopic of Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jagan. His political journey and his victory in the 2019 elections will be portrayed in the movie. Santhosh Narayanan is rendering the music whereas Madhie is handling the cinematography.
