Venkatesh Daggubati is on the board to act in the remake of Dhanush starrer Asuran in Telugu. Directed by Vetrimaaran, Asuran is a story against caste. Currently, the movie is running successfully at the box office. The Telugu remake of Asuran starring Venkatesh Daggubati will be produced by Suresh Babu and Kalaipuli S Thanu, under Suresh Productions and V Creations respectively. Recently Suresh Babu acquired the remake rights of Asuran. Now according to the latest buzz in the film industry, Omhkar is going to helm Asuran remake in which Venkatesh Daggubati will play the lead role.
Asuran is based on a Tamil novel Vekkai, which is written by Poomani, in which Kollywood star Dhanush essayed the dual roles as father and son. Manju Warrier plays the female lead. And the film has other stars like Pasupathi, director Balaji Sakthivel, Prakash Raj, Yogi Babu, Guru Somasundaram, Ken Karunas in supporting roles.
The sources say that Suresh Babu, is holding talks with a bunch of directors and now he is going to approach Omhkar who shot fame with horror and comedy-drama Raju Gari Gadhi. His recently released directorial venture Raju Gari Gadhi 3 starring Ashwin Babu and Avika Gor, earned decent revenues at the box office of both Telugu States.
Venkatesh and Suresh Babu, who is very impressed with the work of Omhkar in Raju Gari Gadhi 3, are going to rope the director to helm Asuran remake. The script work of the project is on. If everything will go accordingly, very soon the official announcement will be made regarding the inclusion of Omhkar in Asuran remake starring Venkatesh Daggubati.
Venkatesh is currently awaiting the release of his next Telugu film Venky Mama starring Naga Chaitanya, Payal Rajput, and Raashi Khanna. He is also speculated to be in talks for a movie with Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
