Jana Sena president Pawan Kalyan‘s visit to Delhi continues. Pawan Kalyan, who met Union Water Resources Minister Shekawat, appealed to the Central Government to take responsibility for the construction of the Polavaram project. 

 Jana Sena chief alleged that the YCP government is delaying the construction of Polavaram project and is not focusing on the implementation of the resettlement of the displaced persons. Pawan Kalyan, who is on a visit to Delhi, has submitted a petition for the construction of the Polavaram project to Union Hydropower Minister Gajendra Shekawat.  Pawan appealed to the central government that YCP government is delaying the completion of Polavaram project, which is the lifeblood of the state of Andhra Pradesh.

Pawan Kalyan had a meeting with Union Hydropower Minister Shri Gajendra Shekawat in Delhi. Janasena Party Political Affairs Committee Chairman Nadendla Manohar participated in this meeting.

Minister Gajendra Shekhawat pointed out that the Polavaram project will provide multi-purpose benefits to the state and the YCP government’s delay in the name of lack of funds for the important project is hampering the construction progress.

 It was mentioned that while more than 72 percent of the Polavaram project work has been completed by May 2019, not even three percent of the work has been completed in the last four years. He said that the works of Polavaram Left Canal, which supplies the water required for Visakha Industrial Zone and the drinking water needs of Visakha Metro City, have stopped.
