Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan said that Raksha Bandhan is a symbol of the love of younger brothers and sisters. It is said that this Rakhi festival which falls on Shravan Purnami is a celebration of joy for us Indians who give great importance to family ties. On this auspicious occasion, Pawan said that we are protecting the girls. If injustice is happening to girls before our eyes, it is not good for our society, especially the governments, to remain silent. He said that the official statistics which say that more than 30 thousand girls and women have disappeared in AP is heartbreaking.
Pawan Kalyan asked if the elders in the government are acting irresponsibly about these disappearances, what will happen to our girls. He asked who could hear the cries of their parents.
Pawan Kalyan said that the real Raksha Bandhan is only when the government acts responsibly towards women. He hopes that day will come. He said that he wishes with all his heart to wish all the women of Telugu states as well as the women of the country this Shravan Poornami.
