PAC Chairman Payyavula Keshav has accused the Andhra Pradesh government of a huge scam. In the name of Rayalaseema drought relief, Rs 900 cr were diverted and they demanded a CBI inquiry into this.
PAC Chairman Paiyavula alleged that funds of Rs 900 cr were diverted. He said that a huge scam was committed with the help of the AP government. It has been explained that huge exploitation was done in the name of Rayalaseema Irrigation Projects and debts were taken with government guarantee in the name of Rayalaseema Drought Relief Corporation.
He said that the money related to the loan taken with government guarantee went directly to the accounts of the private companies and instead of reaching the corporation accounts, the money went directly to the contracting company. He said that Rs 900 cr of money was diverted.
Payyavula said that there has been looting of funds which has not happened in any state in the history of the country. A CBI inquiry should be conducted on this matter, a loan was taken for electro-mechanical works, have the electro-mechanical works been done. It is said that some of Power Finance Corporation and REC are involved in this scam.
Payyavula said that the constitution says that the government’s income and loans should first go into the consolidated fund, but the government’s loan from REC and PFCs was not sent to the consolidated fund and AP Rayalaseema Drought Relief Projects Development Corporation account, but the funds went directly to the account of the contractor.
