PM Modi inaugurates Sudarshan Setu, India’ longest cable-stayed bridge

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Sudarshan Setu today, which is known as the largest cable bridge in the country. This bridge is located in Dwarka, Gujarat. In October 2017, Prime Minister Modi laid the foundation stone for the construction of this bridge. The bridge, which was known as ‘Signature Bridge’, has been renamed as Sudarshan Bridge or Sudarshan Setu.

PM Modi wrote on X: Delighted to inaugurate Sudarshan Setu today,  a bridge that connects lands and people. It stands vibrantly as a testament of our commitment to progress and development.”

Modi offered prayers at Dwarkadhish temple before the inauguration of the bridge. 

Sudarshan Setu is India’ longest cable stayed bridge of 2.32 km, on the Arabian sea connecting  Beit Island with Okhra Port. Sudarshan Setu has been constructed at the cost of Rs 979 crore.

Meanwhile, Modi will participate in many inauguration ceremonies today.
