Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote a letter and sent gifts to Meera Majhi, an Ayodhya-based woman who recently became the 10th-crore beneficiary of the Ujjwala Yojana scheme.

Recently the number of beneficiaries of Ujjwala scheme has reached 10 crores. The number of beneficiaries of the scheme has reached 10 crores along with Meera Majhi, a woman from the riverside community of Ayodhya. So Prime Minister Narendra Modi sent a letter and gifts on Wednesday. During his visit to Ayodhya on December 30 (Saturday), PM Modi went to Meera Majhi’ house and had tea. Gifts include tea set, colorful drawing book etc.

PM Modi said in his letter, “It was a great pleasure to meet you and your family members in Ayodhya, holy city of Lord Ram, and drink tea prepared by you.”

 He also said, “You (Majhi) becoming the 10th crore beneficiary of the Ujjwala Scheme was not just a number, rather I see this as a link with the fulfilment of big dreams and resolves of crores of people of the country,”

In his letter, the Prime Minister wished Majhi and her family a Happy New Year. He remembered drinking tea with the family during his visit. It is not a common thing that you become a 10 crore beneficiary through Ujjwala scheme. I see this as a continuation of efforts to realize the dream of crores of people,” he also said in his letter.
