PM Modi to launch India’s Largest Global Textile Exhibition; Bharat Tex 2024

Bharat Tex is set to be India’s largest Global Textile Event with over 22 lakh sq ft exhibition area spread across a couple of venues at Bharat Mandapam and Yashobhoomi. The grandeur will be graced by buyers from 100 countries and over 100 international speakers. The event will be held for four days, beginning today and it is being held by the prime minister Narendra Modi. 

Bharat Tex 2024 is the exemplar of Modi’s 5F vision – Farm to Fibre to Factory to Fashion to Foreign. In addition, Modi will also inaugurate the expo with modernization, concert and the Make in India outlook at its core. The event is termed to be the splendour at the global level with above 3500 exhibitors and more than 40,000 visitors from over 40 nations. Bharat Tex is being mobilized by a pool of 11 Textile Export Promotion Councils and aided by the Ministry of Textiles.

Bharat Tex is built on the twin pillars of trade and investment and with overarching attention to feasibility and flexible supply chains. The grand exhibition features Apparel, Carpets, Fibres, Fabrics, Floor Coverings, Home Furnishings, Technical Textiles, Textiles Handicrafts, Threads, Yarns and more. Having a focus on India’s fashion retail market opportunities, Bharat Tex also comprises a retail High Street. 

The event is a perfect example of cooperation among all the value chain players represented by 11 Export Promotion Councils, covering the full value chain from farm to end products. With famous global textile entities like Coach, Calvin Klein, Coats, Gap, H&M, Levis, Kohl’s, Toray and Tommy Hilfiger, the event has received a massive response.
