PM Modi to lay foundation stone for 15 Amrit Bharat Stations in Telangana

PM Narendra Modi will inaugurate the foundation stone laying ceremony on 26th February for the construction of 550 Amrit Bharat stations and it includes 15 stations, 50 ROBs and RUBs in Telangana.

Along with this, railway flyovers and rail underpasses are being constructed as per the need to avoid congestion at railway crosses. The Modi government is determined not only to expand trains and railway lines but also to modernize railway stations and provide state-of-the-art facilities to passengers with international standards. As a part of that, Indian Railways has launched a new scheme called “Amrit Bharat Stations”.

Prime Minister Modi will also lay the foundation stone for nearly 1,500 road overbridges and underbridges across various states during a virtual event that will be broadcasted at over 2,000 railway stations. Modi will join the function via video conferencing.

The Ministry of Railways has decided to develop 40 railway stations in Telangana state as Amrit Bharat stations. For this a total of Rs 2,245 crore funds have been allocated.

Union Minister Kishan Reddy expressed his happiness that the development of railways in Telangana state is being supported. He thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav.
