Chandrayaan 3 landing was successful. The process of soft landing ended on Wednesday 23rd August. With this, our country India entered the history books as the first country to step on the South Pole of the Moon. India is the fourth country to set foot on the moon. Vikram lander touched the moon exactly at 6.04 pm. Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated the scientists. The landing process started at 5.44 pm. The rover will spend two weeks exploring the moon. Research will be done on frozen ice molecules in the soil. PM Modi watched the Chandrayaan 3 launch virtually from Johannesburg. 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will meet the scientists involved in the Chandrayaan 3 mission. Prime Minister Modi will come to Bangalore on 26th of this month- August to meet the heroes of ISRO after the successful landing of Chandrayaan 3 spacecraft on the moon.

Modi is currently in Johannesburg to attend the BRICS (Brazil-Russia-India-China-South Africa) summit on the occasion of the Chandrayaan landing.  Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated ISRO Chief S Somnath through a phone call on Wednesday evening. After the historic soft-landing of Chandrayaan 3 on the southern surface of the Moon, Modi hailed it as the beginning of a new era.
