In Kokapet, Hyderabad, BJP leaders started protesting. They protested against the auction of government land in Kokapet. They raised slogans against the government. But the police arrested the BJP leaders and shifted them from there. Besides, heavy security has been arranged in that area. 

Meanwhile, the second phase of land auction was held in Kokapet, Hyderabad on Thursday. Seven developed plots spread over an area of 45.33 acres in Neopolis layout were put up for auction. But Kokapet lands fetched a record price. The highest acre land price is Rs 100.75 cr. Through the auction of Kokapet land, the government will get Rs 3,319.60 crores in revenue. The highest acre of land in the auction was Rs 100.75 crores in slabs, the lowest being Rs 67.25 crores. An acre of land averages Rs 73.23 crores.

The highest bid of Rs 100.75 cr for an acre came from Happi Heights Neopolis, Rajapushpa Properties Pvt Ltd, who offered a total of Rs 362.7 cr for 3.6 acres. The second highest bid of Rs 75.50 cr per acre was from Navatris Investments, Rajapushpa properties Pvt Ltd, who offered a record Rs 494.53 cr for 6.55 acres.

The state government is ready to sell 100 acres of land at Budvel in Rajendranagar through the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA). The e-auction will be held on August 10. The cash-strapped state government auctioned land for Rs. 3,000-Rs. 3,500 crore expected to generate revenue.
