Ponniyin Selvan box office collections: Ponniyin Selvan Part 1, helmed by Mani Ratnam has zoomed past Rs 350 crore at the box office worldwide. The film is still performing exceptionally well at the box office. It is a historical fiction based on the popular Tamil literary novel of the same name, written by Kalki Krishnamurthy. The big budget drama starring former beauty queen Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Chiyaan Vikram, Trisha Krishnan, Jayam Ravi and Karthi in the lead roles. Cinematographer Ravi Varman, editor Sreekar Prasad and composer AR Rahman are part of the technical crew. According to the traders report, Ponniyin Selvanhas collected A$1,640,704 from Australia, NZ$154,025 from Zealand and $5,652,729 from USA in 10 days.
