Ponniyin Selvan 1 Box office collections: Mani Ratnam’ magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan 1 has become the highest-grossing Tamil film at the worldwide box office for 2022. Kamal Haasan, Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Faasil starrer action drama Vikram was holding the top position since the month of June but the magnum opus dethroned it few days ago. According to the latest report, Ponniyin Selvan has crossed Rs 450 Cr marks at the Worldwide box office.

Mani Ratnam’ magnum opus is now marching towards Rs 500 crore mark worldwide. During the weekend, the film’s collections saw an incline. The movie will have another five days of uninterrupted theatrical run in Tamil Nadu before the Diwali releases take over. In the state, majority of the theatres are screening Vikram and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan starrer Ponniyin Selvan in its third week. The big budget drama is also performing well in the overseas market.
