We have already reported that Keerthy Suresh has walked out from her upcoming Bollywood movie Maidaan, which  based on the golden era of Indian football.  The movie Maidaan has been in the news since the time it was announced. With Ajay Devgn playing the lead, the movie will depict how the Indian football team brought glory to the country between 1952 and 1962, under the guidance of Syed Abdul Raheem. Now according to the latest update, the makers of Maidaan have roped Priyamani in this film. Priyamani has replaced Keerthy Suresh in Ajay Devgn starrer Maidaan.

The source say that National Award-winning actress Priyamani has also been roped in Maidaan to play the leading lady of the film. In other words, Priyamani has replaced Keerthy Suresh. Finally  Priyamani in Keerthy Suresh out from Maidaan.

Ajay Devgn will essay the role of Syed Abdul Rahim who served as coach and manager of Indian football team from 1950 until his death in 1963. Mahanati fame Keerthy Suresh who was roped in to play the character of a mother, left the project as the makers felt that she looked “too young” for the part. Now finally Priyamani is on the board.

Ajay Devgn and Priyamani starrer Maidaan is produced by Zee Studios, Boney Kapoor, Akash Chawla and Arunava Joy Sengupta. The film Maidanna is scheduled to be released on 27th November.

Priyamani was recently featured alongside Manoj Bajpayee in Amazon original The Family Man. The actress is set to portray Sasikala in Jayalalithaa biopic Thalaivi in which Kangana Ranaut is playing titular role. Recently she was also roped in upcoming Telugu film, which is remake of Tamil drama Asuran, where she will share the screen space with Venkatesh Daggubati.

 Priyamani is popular for delivering Paruthiveeram,  Malaikottai,  Golimar,  and Rakhta Charitra. On the otherside, Keerthy Suresh is working for her upcoming bilingual drama Penguin.
