The tangle of alliances between the opposition parties in Andhra Pradesh does not seem to be going away now. In the wake of Pawan Kalyan‘s announcement that the Janasena will go with the TDP, the AP BJP leadership is debating how to proceed with the alliance with the Janasena. The BJP core committee has decided to take a clarification from the party leadership on what kind of stand to adopt in the matter of Janasena.
The BJP’s AP state core committee meeting held on Tuesday mainly discussed the statements made by Janasena president Pawan Kalyan after the arrest of Telugu Desam leader Chandrababu. In this meeting, AP BJP president Purandheswari made sensational comments on Janasena-BJP alliance in Andhra Pradesh.
On September 14, Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan met TDP chief Chandrababu who was arrested in the AP Skill Development case and was in Rajahmundry Central Jail and announced that TDP-Janasena will move forward together. There is already an alliance between BJP and Janasena, Now will BJP come together with TDP and Janasena? Or? Pawan said that the BJP should decide the matter itself. On the other hand, the BJP AP president Purandeswari says that the BJP leadership will take care of the matter of alliances.
Purandeswari said: The final decision will be taken only by the top leadership. Their state executive committee meeting will be held soon. They are inviting party president J.P. Nadda and national sanghatana general secretary B.L. Santosh to attend it.
