Daggubati Purandheswari will take charge as AP BJP president today. A few days ago BJP national president Nadda announced that Purandeshwari is being appointed as the president of AP BJP. Purandeshwari was handed over the reins of AP BJP in place of Somu Veerraj.
Purandheswari will arrive at Gannavaram airport at 9.30 am from Hyderabad and will reach the State party office. Daggubati Purandheswari will take charge between 10.55 am and 11.10 am and address the media at 11.15 am. Purandheswari will address the party workers at 12 noon.
Purandheswari, who left to take over as party president, paid tributes to her father at NTR Ghat. After that they left for Vijayawada. A review meeting of the party will be held in Vijayawada after taking over as president.
On the other hand, it seems that Purandeshwari has started to form a new team with AP BJP. It is said that the proposals to form a new working group in place of the existing working group will be placed before the leadership. There is a campaign going on among the BJP leaders that former minister Adinarayana Reddy will be handed over the post of party general secretary.
Currently, AP BJP is divided into groups, Purandheswari has focused on team work with all.
